Also known as armoured or ballistic glass – is a multi-layered material designed to stop firearm projectiles and minimise the risk of fragments after impact.

It consists of layers of glass and polymer materials that absorb the kinetic energy of the projectile.

The resistance of bulletproof glass depends on its protection class, for example BR1–BR7, and on the type of technology used.
